The game, which took place at Red & Charline McCombs Field, was a back-and-forth affair that saw both teams give it their all, leaving everything on the field.

With two outs, junior shortstop Janae Jefferson crushed a solo home run to center field, giving Texas an early 1-0 lead. However, the Red Raiders were quick to respond, tying the game in the top of the third inning with a run of their own.
